That game tying goal should've been waved off because of a hand pass that kept the puck in right before the goal. Sure it wasn't a pass, but it definitely ticked off that dudes hand as he went to the ice to try and glove it in... take your point, you'll need it more than us. We'll be comfortably on the outside looking in.

Has he been bought out already for lack of production...has lucic scored yet or has he been the defensive stud avoiding dumb penalties like you predicted...any info would be great...

Sam Bennett really wet the bed last night. Big opportunity and he gets two penalties, the last one at the worst possible time to get one.
No wonder Mangipane got bumped up.
Credit to Sam for some physical play (legal hits) at least, but I've lost all faith in him as a scorer.

oil90 you're back! Plan the parade - it's happening - and Neal's taking you there!

Sam sucked, Chucky was unreal.

I am starting to think there could be another gear to Hanifin as well. When he pinches or leads the rush (which is not enough) he can really spark offense. Not Dougie good yet, but it could be coming.

I've been very impressed with Hanifin so far this season. Hell, I've been impressed with everyone on the blueline, but I agree with you in saying it looks like Hanifin might be hitting another level this year. He's jumping up in the play more and making things happen and he really can create offense if he does that.

The team is looking good so far despite the record. There are certainly things to clean up, you can't keep playing the 1st period like they did against LA, but they found a way to battle back and get a point out of a 1st period effort that didn't deserve one. Lucic has been doing exactly what he was brought in to do and I think that has done wonders for sparking the team and getting them engaged. Tkachuk looks to have shaken off the rust and was fantastic last night.

It's only Game 3 and there are positives to take out of last night's result. Some stuff to work on, for sure, but there's lots of time to do so. Far from time to panic yet.

Not to mention the high stick. Tkachuk, Rittich, and Lucic willed them to a point last night. Need better efforts.

The truth lies somewhere between embarrassing and perfect. Starting games on time has been a problem for this team going back a year, or more. I don't put much emphasis on the first 10 games of any season. After all, are the Ducks and Oilers the best teams in the Pacific when it's all said and done? Nope.

You got manhandled by prob the worst team in the league who admits they are full rebuild...chucky(lol) scored and that impressed u??? He seems to be focussed on the next Kings game little to much and nothing in between...seem like his head...nothing in between...he will pad his stats and offer nothing defensively to help his team win...todd said tchapunk was amazing...score said they still lost...can't be that amazing...

Hey Sexy......

We have not talked in a while. I kinda missed you.

Anyways, not to put a wrench into this amazeballs arguement but if a player who loses is not amazing, then that would mean McDavid is overated. And thats just silly. Your silly.

We are not worthy Todd!

Seems your love of Mangiapani might be for everyone. I say play him there until he plays himself out of that spot or someone else plays their way onto it.

The Colorado game was a bad effort, the Vancouver game looked pretty good, and the LA game looked good besides the first period, which is something that needs to get cleaned up.

I'm not saying they've been perfect. They certainly haven't been. But they haven't been awful for the most part, either and when they've been on their game they've been pretty good. It's just a matter of getting there consistently and cleaning up some areas of their game.

Regardless, we're only 3 games in. Let's try not to overreact.

Last year at the end of October the Flames were 7-5-1, so I say wait until October plays out and see how things are. Remember the Flames got beat 9-1 against the Pens last October. They are 1-1-1 so far, they will figure things out. After all you really think the Oilers, missing their best d man will sustain what they are doing and we all know Neal is overrated and the Ducks are where they are right now because they have the best goalie in the league.

Remember the schedule last year ? China for exhibition, then 3 road trips out east in the first month ! That was the craziest year I can remember.

True enough, but I think things will get better if they actually played the first period like the second and third the Kings would've lost. What I don't like is when the Flames tie the game up and Bennett takes a stupid penalty which gift wrapped the game for the Kings.
